And a list of exactly which "stuff" fails to open. That might give us enough information to work out what's wrong.

What actual issue or error are you seeing?

Mostly stuff fails to open. Then when you try it from terminal you get a bunch of errors about udev sessions or mismatches. Usually a reboot fixes it but its odd. That is what Heroic was doing. Steam flat out refused to run after a few errors no matter what I did.

But udev is available in Devuan.

Steam did not even want to start from Flatbak or Native.

I dualboot distros so I have been on Devuan for a long time but I just setup Debian on my other drive for now because of this.

Any other gamers in here that have any pointers for me?

FYI I am running Cinnamon(Xorg) and Nvidia proprietary drivers from the repos on both installs.
