Maintenance updates for both max and mini, 90+ packages for the max and 50+ for the mini, including the latest kernel that came out a couple of days ago. A couple of tweaks and one minor bug-fix but that's it, it's looking good, I just hate to have install media out there that's old and needs lots of updates post-install, and it's been almost 3 months since the last iso. Seems like a good schedule for future updates so i'll stick to that unless I do some big changes.

Working on rolling up a new max (and a new mini) this weekend, should have them up before Monday.

EDIT: Got the ob-max-z up now, all fixed. Working on the mini soon.

to the gift-giving I offer a new version of AlsaTune with the ability to edit saved EQ pre-sets
file directly from the GUI! And also a new Vuu-do ob-max-z with many updates, a couple little
bug fixes and some housecleaning, I packaged the thumbnail-cacher script, and of course
added the new version 3.1-1 of AlsaTune. New versions of Chromium, VLC, and ffmpeg as well.
I'll get a new mini-z up here in a day or so, today it's just the max version.

Some package updates including a new kernel. Fixed a bug in the last ScrotShot.
Updated to new version 2.0 of AlsaTune which introduces new features including a test
tone button and a soundcard-switcher in the gui. New .asoundrc that allows multiple
streams to play. Fixed some issues in the Oxy2-ZEN icons set. Apparmor is no longer
installed by default. Lots of little tweaks. Boot is faster and cleaner now and the new
AlsaTune seems to be just the ticket for most systems, but more complex ones will
likely require some editing. For most laptops it's all you'll need.

It can be removed from Mate pretty easily, and Mate has it's own built-in mixer that works with Alsa.

I was, until I realized that straight Devuan has pulseaudio instead of alsa. I think I know the answer to this, but do you remove pulseaudio for alsa in Vuu-do?

Or you can try just editing the exec line for chromium, that will definitely work.

There's been a LOT of updates to Excalibur since I made those iso's, might be better to just go for the new Devuan netinstall iso and choose Mate for the DE during that portion of the install, some things have been fixed in the newer versions.

Believe me, there was a lot that I wanted to do on those iso's, but I was committed to putting out something that was pure Devuan as-delivered without any of my hackiness, lol.

BTW, when I try to unlock the keyring neither the passwords "devuan" or "root"  work, nor "live" either.

Are you planning to release a Vuu-do based on Excalibur?

I am at some point, for Vuu-do I stay off the cutting edge and go for pure stability, so i'm going to wait a while and let the dust settle before I start to build. Right now i'm still focused on the Daedalus versions as there's still work to be done, and also testing/bug-hunting/fixing stuff where i'm able to help in Devuan Excalibur so we can get it all dialed in and folks can roll up some new spins.
