New isos's up for the max and mini. https://sourceforge.net/projects/vuu-do … u-do-5.03/

Well Murphy's law really nailed me, I finally got listed on Sourceforge but the iso's had a couple of bugs, just
cosmetic but VERY visible. *sigh* I was head deep in half a dozen other projects and rushed the last versions out without
proper testing. I was also full up with local civic projects in my town so I simply tried to do too much at once. I would
have gotten to these a little sooner, but a week and a half ago a really close friend passed away, and I couldn't do much
after that but grieve for a while.

The iso's are now both fixed, I re-wrote VuuPaper and added some nice safeguards and fallbacks so it properly displays
the correct wallpaper in live-sessions and on first boot-up after install. I also fixed the "Set as Wallpaper" right-click
function with a new script and fixed some hackiness I had previously been using to make it all work. Added some new
icons to Oxy2-ZEN, and updated ScrotShot to get rid of some superfluous code that was just adding size to the
images without adding any clarity.

The next versions will have even more tweaks as testing of these has shown me some areas that can improve, the main
one will be adding some code to AlsaTune to help with auto-detection of what card is actually being used in a system on
first run.

Thanks friends!!!

Congrats. Any plans to add UEFI support? The recent systems I've been working on has no traditional BIOS support.

As a matter of fact at long last I do, I have some new (used) hardware I purchased online that should be arriving tomorrow or Saturday, rather than try to support both on the same iso, i'm going to make special efi-versions of Vuu-do, the Devuan-mate-mini isos, and the gtk2-ng-test iso. I also have a desktop i'm re-fitting to be a squash mule, so the idea is to have dedicated partitions where all the versions can live and be updated when needed easily.

7-25-2026
Updated the mini, will likely update the max tomorrow!

Some 40+ updates including a new kernel. Also added the Lightdm-gtk-greeter-settings package, a nice
MIYO-type addition. Installed VuuMan too. Fixed an issues with one too many "info.png" icons in
the Oxy2-Zen icon set (deleted the ones in mimetypes). Added an /etc/inittab.d folder to silence
a boot warning. Changed the boot sequence and timing up quite a bit, moved most everything out
of /etc/xdg/autostart into the openbox autostart file, which runs first and offers better control,
set the thumbnail cacher to run last as it takes some time, especially on my daily-driver
which has almost 700 image files. So now everything loads first and then it quietly does it's check
in the background. Cleaned up some cruft that had crept in and some other minor tweaks.

https://sourceforge.net/projects/vuu-do … ob-mini-z/

Updated the ob-max-z, I think maybe now leap-frogging the max and mini makes it easier.
Many updates to key packages including a new kernel, kinda crazy how oldstable is getting this
many updates, possibly folks are starting to see that this is the last good and stable OS
that we're likely to see from upstream. Added lightdm-gtk-greeter-settings for a nice GUI
way to change those settings. Swapped out Nitrogen for VuuPaper, more features and much
smaller size. Updated extensions etc.
