found the solution here

vim /etc/X11/default-display-manager

(change to slim)

reboot

(have crossed cinnamon already out; too much like gnome; havenÄ't noticed earlier)

I am not familiar with sddm, I only use lightdm. You got a very complex installation.

When you are on the sddm login screen, there should be some sort of button behind that you should be able to choose.

Hello ,

have installed Devuan 6.0 on Main Computer

with 4 Desktop Choice

XFCE
MATE
Cinnamon
KDE

afterwards it asked if

SDDM
Slim

and selected SDDM.

Now however upon login, get no change to select other Desktop of choice *when press F1*

it starts automatically into Cinnamon.

What is correct procedure to change this?
