yep... I use mate. Given that I am planning on moving 20+ users to devuan... I have to make it work with mate.
However I found that
/usr/libexec/ayatana-indicator-datetime/ayatana-indicator-datetime-service
kinda works. It syncs/displays appointments, you can edit them. However given that it depends on .service to run the ntpdate - it displays two hours back. I am digging on how to go around that.

Not sure how to help here, can you give a little more detail? Which DE are you running?

In Openbox using tint2 for the panel, you can alter the command for what happens when you right-click it. I use mine to run tz-data.

In Mate that's not possible without a lot of re-coding I think.

You can always make a simple custom launcher and drop it in the panel to launch just about any app, but that won't integrate with the onboard calendar.

Hello! I've had enough of systemd. I've installed devuan and migrated all my stuff. Everything is working great so far. However in the old distro I've used evolution and more importand it's integration in the panel's calendar. I have nextcloud server that syncs my calendars. However I can't manage to find how to integrate the current "panel clock" to use evolution ?
Evolution itself is working/syncing. But I need panel applet to it.
Any suggestions?
