			<description><![CDATA[<p>Couldn&#039;t get the F button to work?<br />Unfortunately I can&#039;t say anything about HP.</p><p> I have three different Lenovo, everything works on all of them, including brightness adjustment.<br />For this, three things are needed - support in the kernel, an ACPI table and support in the DE.<br />Trinity (my DE) has a special package for Lenovo.</p><p>&#160; HP Ubuntu supported, so I understand it should work.</p><p> Regards.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>I don’t have a laptop with two video cards, I just recently, while installing Devuan on my laptop, tried to revive the buttons with the F key.</p><p>My conclusions:<br />1. Any distribution contains all available packages and programs.<br />2. Not all distributions have all the packages required to support a particular computer installed by default.<br />3. This is done as much as possible with LinuxMint.<br />I ran live usb LMDE (LinuxMint based on Debian), everything worked. Then I added the missing packages to the devuan.</p><p>4. Here they tried to solve a similar problem with HP Probook 470 G3 . <br /><a href="https://wiki.debian.org/InstallingDebianOn/HP/Probook%20470%20G3/Jessie" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.debian.org/InstallingDebia … 0G3/Jessie</a><br />You can find out whether HP support is enabled in the kernel by looking at the /boot/config-xxx file.</p>]]></description>

Its outdated, no more maintained and won&#039;t work with current kernels and xorg versions.</p><p>Which release are we talking about? Daedalus? Based on the kernel that should be correct.
