			<description><![CDATA[<p>I already solved this.<br />In menu Configuration | Edit accounts | Edit | Receive <br />the IMAP4 authentication method was set to Automatic.<br />There is an option to OAuth2.&#160; Probably the automatic was using OAuth2, according to instructions from <br />Set up Gmail with a third-party email client<br /><a href="https://support.google.com/a/answer/9003945" rel="nofollow">https://support.google.com/a/answer/9003945</a></p><p>Any of the options &#039;LOGIN&#039; or &#039;PLAIN&#039;&#160; are good to be able to connect to the gmail account.</p><p>Thank you all for your support.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>What happens if you tell it to use googlemail.com instead of gmail.com ? I have one system using kmail where it insists on using the wrong type of auth for gmail.com but I can get it to work with googlemail.com (it&#039;s kmail being &quot;clever&quot; that causes the problem). I can&#039;t check details on that system just now though, sorry.</p><p>That took quite a lot of puzzling to work out.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Hi all,</p><p>After the system upgrade to Daedalus it was not possible anymore to use Sylpheed to send or receive emails.<br />Two accounts are configured from two big email providers.</p><p>A message box appears showing an error: Could not establish a connection to the server.</p><p>The log windows shows:</p><div class="codebox"><pre><code>[16:06:22] IMAP4&gt; 2 AUTHENTICATE XOAUTH2
