Good that you got it solved. However an note . . .

If "Chimaera" was any part of the setup and you typed "Chimeara" as you did in your initial post, perhaps that was partly at fault?

I am going to edit that post to prevent further confusion . . .

For best results, you are better off just using AMD or Intel GPUs.

Nvidia 535 too much problems yet. Even for windows. Too much problems on latest games. Better go for 525 for a while.

Solved by upgrading to Daedalus. Surprisingly smooth and easy!

Setting up a machine for Steam gaming with Nvidia 1070 card and I can only get 470.x driver. What's the best way to get Nvidia 535.x driver on Chimaera? I don't do Wayland and I'm not ready to upgrade to Daedalus (I think).

This is my third active Devuan machine, so terminal is not any problem.
