I am not sure anymore what happended, but I did notice the missing buttons after the installed update which was given with the notifications. And I know for sure that I did not play with the Titlebar settings. The "Gnome" setting will produce only the "Close Button".
My system is a new net-install of Chimaera. And all other additional 3 installs have had no problem. Still not sure what I did. sad

Anyways, I did some screenshots...but how do I get those into the message, as there is no upload in this board? Do I have to load them externally with the img tag?

Normally you decide which buttons (Max,Min,Close,Menu,Close,Sticky,Shade) go on the left or right but it would be possible to blank them all.

Are they installed from the repositories? Manually installed themes might not be compatible with the Cinnamon version you're using.

Does the problem persist if you create a new user and log in with that user instead?

No matter which Theme out of my 7 I choose, no minimize/maximize buttons.
And changing "Window Borders" doesn't change anything either.

just tried it, but have a problem to change to it. Don't know how.
What I did: preferences > Themes > Add/Remove > Downloaded one, marking shows a check mark.

No idea as it just showed in "Notification" Important security updates, download and restart. Not used to that in Devuan 3 as I did my upgrades with the terminal.

after my new upgrade from Devuan3 to Devuan4 with Cinnamon Desktop 2 days back I got a note for a important software update. So I did and noticed later that my maximize and minimize buttons are gone.

Having an additional same Desktop running, I locked on to that one and  got as well the update note. Did not install the update. All my window buttons are still luckily there.

Anyone else having this ?
How can I get the buttons back ?
I searched the internet for 2 hours but all the suggestions in regards to gnome-tweaks did not bring results. Hopefully someone here could help me out.
