AMD graphics cards need firmware:

The problem is that last time I attempted doing this, my graphics drivers weren't working, making my system pretty slow at times. I've had problems with the live installer as well, where it crashed whenever I started the install application. Oh yeah, I also don't feel like trying hard to install drivers because last time I did so, my entire system was ruined.

tldr: works fine on a virtual machine, but terrible on hardware for me. help.
