You may also need to install locales-all if the advice from dice doesn't help. Then after installing locales-all, again try running...

dpkg-reconfigure locales

golinux is correct, you should ask for help via the maintainer of the "unsupported distro".

What have you tried?

You should be safe to do the following command in a terminal and choose the correct locale if you havent already done so.

# dpkg-reconfigure locales

I wrote to the developer on github today. And for some reason I realized exactly the opposite, that roninOS is not supported.
The site says: roninOS is just a pre-configured and optimized desktop based on Void Linux.
So xevuan is not supported?
Will roninOS be actively developing?

Писал сегодня разработчику на github. А я почему то понял в точности наоборот, что roninOS не поддерживается.
На сайте написано: roninOS - это просто предварительно сконфигурированный и оптимизированный рабочий стол на основе Void Linux.
Так значит xevuan не поддерживается?
А "roninOS" будет активно развиваться?

Welcome to the forum, jurgis.

Have you read this post about Xevuan? The distro seems to be changing to voidlinux. It is not an officially recognized Devuan derivative and the above thread is the only information that we have. Hopefully someone here can help you get the locales sorted but the Xevuan dev might be a better place to ask..

Hello. I tried Xevuan, I really liked it!) But I can't figure out how to deal with the locality. The Russian locale is not set, even from the start during installation. Even when you choose only one locale, Russian. I've already tried everything* Please help me understand.

Здравствуйте. По пробывал Xevuan, очень понравился!) Но никак не могу разобраться с локалью. Не ставится Русская локаль, даже со старта при установки. Даже когда выбираешь только одну локаль, русскую. Уже все перепробовал* Помогите пожалуйста разобраться.
