			<description><![CDATA[<p>After few weeks, a point to resume this:</p><p>If I use audacious, and pause sounds, to launch and view videos. Thoses are blocked until I quit audacious. When I&#039;ve quitted audacious, videos run.</p><p>Otherwise, if I use zoom, I cant use audacious. 			<description><![CDATA[<p>Hi</p><p>sorry for late reply.</p><p>vlc tends to use &quot;default&quot; as the default audio device on next boot up.<br />If vlc was using pulseaudio then that is what default is....ditto if you used alsa...that is what default is.<br />Can you try</p><p>vlc -&gt; Tools -&gt; Preferences -&gt; Select Audio TAB&#160; -&gt; pulldown output and choose Alsa<br />pulldown device and choose the analog device....I am not sure what your choices are but mine have alsa, surround sound and hdmi<br />click save <br />and retest sound</p>]]></description>

Linux *** 5.5.0-2-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 5.5.17-1 (2020-04-15) x86_64 GNU/Linux</code></pre></div><p>With the kernel 5.4.0-4, I have not any specific problem; but with the kernels 5.5.0-(1|2), I have this trouble: no sound with firefox (or videoconf, as zoom), egual for VLC. <br />If I download a video, or one music, I have not sound on the file!<br />Terrible!<br />(and, yes, the sound volume is open, at audible level).</p><p>But, If I use Audacious, I can hear the music! </p><p>I known, it&#039;s weird. </p><p>---</p><p>PS: FYI, I used since severals years Debian Sid, or *Buntu liked… (or OpenBSD).</p>]]></description>
