			<description><![CDATA[<p>I am writing below what worked for me, please do this at your own risk !!!</p><p>The dependencies for the package usrmerge available in Beowulf are</p><p>debconf (&gt;= 0.5) | debconf-2.0<br />perl:any<br />libfile-find-rule-perl</p><p>as given in <a href="https://pkginfo.devuan.org/stage/beowulf/beowulf/usrmerge_21.html" rel="nofollow">https://pkginfo.devuan.org/stage/beowul … ge_21.html</a></p><p>since usrmerge is not available for Ascii, but debconf 1.5.61 and perl are already installed in any standard ascii installation , after installing &#039;libfile-find-rule-perl&#039; using apt or apt-get, download &quot;usrmerge&quot; from either Devuan Beowulf or Debian Buster and install it manually using </p><div class="codebox"><pre><code>sudo dpkg --install usrmerge_21_all.deb</code></pre></div><p>You will receive a prompt that the procedure cannot be reversed, and when confirmed the package will be successfully installed.</p><p>if you do this on an installation where /usr and / are in seperate partitions, you should run </p><div class="codebox"><pre><code>sudo update-initramfs -k all -u</code></pre></div><p> before you reboot.</p>]]></description>
