Friends of mine meant the hardware broke, bur I read in the sensor manual, that the problem was, too, that the hw-chip was notoriously unpredictable. Up to now I switch the computer in to standby, till it cools, with but little success. Or I earn some come "holidays" hours, after having stood the rattling trouble during some hours.

That's on a desktop though so your output won't match that.

]]>Now very once a while, that is I can not reproduce the error, however, then, when once started, a very very tenacious -and now after a month it is still so -, a second fan with low tone, makes terrible noise, loud enough to disturb the neighbors, and to have it impossible to work in public, at least. (Now, louder than fridge.)
So the regulation seems wrong.
It does not stop within hours, and seemingly heats up the computer by itself. Over more it is tenacious enough to survive (come back after) longer cooling periods of acpi-sleep <24h.
I remember that I had this problem with kubuntu a years ago, when I installed a then few hardware analysis programs, hdparm or so, but this hastened the problem, so the computer crashed out of over-temperature, till I switched to xubuntu. It can be I had a package such in the install list.
Now, I would like to give previously some decent diagnosis print outs, if someone told me which command lines.
