I noticed that in debian there is an installation media for arm64. Y se usa con el pinebook pro

But I only see media in devuan for amd64 and i86

One could raise the responsible for ARM of devuan create a medium for arm64 ???? or A image for pinebook pro

Otherwise the devuan ARM manager could help us install devuan on the pinebook pro ???

It bothers me a lot to use a debian, as I think everyone here.

pine64 is a project that I think connects perfectly with devuan's philosophy and thought. Perhaps it would be a good idea to pay attention to it. I guess everyone is overloaded.

I've been left out of the October shipment anyway. So I won't be able to have the pinebook pro until the end of November.

It's not something I need for today, I'm an advanced user, but here there's a lot of level. A little help would be very welcome.

Greetings

Zuzen

P.S. I certainly don't know if I'm talking nonsense and this has nothing to do with debuan, my apologies in that case.

If you have working kernel then there is no problem to install Devuan. You just have to create root filesystem from ARM packages. You can use debootstrap for that.

if that's what I've seen.

But still the person in charge of arm64 comes up with a way to start.

The device I find very attractive is a low cost. And more than enough to go on a trip. It has an adapter to puncture an M2 disk. That makes it completely usable.

You can put the system in the 64 GB memory and put the home in the M2.

Another thing is the performance. but the distributions that appear use XFCE which is our default option.

What does our ARM64 maintainer say about this ?????

a greeting

NOTE: Until October, you don't know when they won't start selling it.

I don't have the level to get involved with an architecture but I do have the level to help.

These are the kind of projects I think I should be involved in.

If this can be used. But I would gladly spend the $200 if I have support and a work group is set up.

THIS IS IMPORTANT, SOMEONE IS INTERESTED.

It doesn't look like we have a pinebook image here: https://files.roundr.devuan.org/devuan_ascii/embedded/

It might be possible to install one of the other images and then migrate to devuan, but I don't see plain vanilla debian in the list that you linked. So a migration from something else to devuan might be difficult.

If you have a pinebook to play with, you have an opportunity to be the first one to make a devuan image for it.
