			<description><![CDATA[<p>Iceweasel-uxp, for me, no dbus required!&#160; But you do need patches to build it currently, which I have. But that takes a few hours. <img src="https://dev1galaxy.org/img/smilies/wink.png" width="15" height="15" alt="wink" /></p><p>As for the alternative, go palemoon or basilisk-browser. </p><p>The forum has instructions on how to deal with the discourse problem too and SOME other problematic blockade websites.</p><p>All the other websites are bloat, ugly and/or insecure in design.&#160; Why else would google not block them but in fact try to get in the way of uxp with their stupid useragent sniffers?</p><p>Answer = google is a pile of a dodo but also they can exploit the newer ones much easier.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Impressions from using Brave.<br />1. During installation, a repository is added and then installed, uninstalled, and updated like a regular deb package, without unnecessary procedures.<br />2. Brave Rewards, these same tokens, can be disabled, as well as third-party cookies can be blocked.<br />3. 			<description><![CDATA[<p>I would be interested in having Ungoogled Chromium since I use firefox-esr with security/privacy extensions and there are a small number of commercial websites that don&#039;t play ball. I&#039;m not keen on using the standard chromium deb in the Chimaera repositories, though I did install it on a spare PC for a guest who relies on his saved google setting (bookmarks, etc).</p><p>However having gone to <a href="https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium" rel="nofollow">https://github.com/ungoogled-software/u … d-chromium</a> I tried to follow the download instructions here: <br /><a href="https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium-debian" rel="nofollow">https://github.com/ungoogled-software/u … ium-debian</a> (since there <em>isn&#039;t</em> a devuan repository) and get stuck at the apt update stage:</p><div class="codebox"><pre><code>marjorie@grendel:~$ sudo apt update

			<description><![CDATA[<p>For those who want IceCat, some guy is making deb packages: <a href="https://software.opensuse.org//download.html?project=home%3Alosuler%3Aicecat&amp;package=icecat" rel="nofollow">see here</a><br />If you want 78 (like I do, because of ugly proton), then both this and gnuinos repo&#039;s work, but for some reason 91 from gnuinos does not install (due to old dependency versions, though all my packages are up to date), but 91 from lousler works perfectly fine.</p>]]></description>

Icecat only rarely releases an ESR build of Firefox. abrowser has always worked great for me on Devuan, zero issues.</p>]]></description>
