Thanks! I'm really a rank amateur at this IRC stuff - never really felt a need for it until lately. I thought maybe there was a #devuan-specific thing I needed, some sort of credential from Devuan. I will figure it out.

I used to be able to talk on the channel, but at some point, during the logging in, a message comes up: "**You might need to auth to nickserv to talk!**" How do I 'auth to nickserv' in Hexchat?
