Miyo is good, you should play around in there first and have a look at what Miyo has done with configs and such and make it your own then try out a base install. You can scale Miyo down or up as long as you know what you are doing.

I'm trying to find a minimalist desktop environment. I' really don't like LXDE. I've tried LXQT and had issues with that too (it doesn't seem to like my wifi - no problems with LXDE or XFCE). So, I'm going to give Miyo a try. If that doesn't appeal to me, it's back to good old Openbox.

We are full of openbox experts here, greenjeans, miyo, fsmithred, among others.
There are some of us that are betraying the OB movement in favor of i3 and "stuff".
Miyo had made ob funkier than cinnamon before he switched to i3 and lxqt, I would call it miyo-lxde.
LXDE still stands as #1 most efficient full desktop above the minimals (i3, ob, awesome, jwm, etc).

Welcome to the crazy club. Don't expect too much seriousness here, try the list.
GoLinux is our in-keeper, beware she goes around with an electric-shock-stick and will drug you up if you misbehave.
