I can't reproduce the "Size of file ... is not what the server reported" warnings now. It happend only during upgrade and dist-upgrade from jessie to ascii. Maybe it was the old devuan-keyring package.

Did you try installing the latest devuan-keyring?

apt-get install devuan-keyring

It may already be the latest.

Here's what my sources.list looks like...if yours is different, make a copy of your current sources.list file and save it somewhere in case you need it again. Then replace the contents with this...

Replaced with the new amprolla3 repos in Jessie and did an upgrade to ascii I got lot of "Size of file ... is not what the server reported" wanings

Well, it's not doing it any longer!

It only happened once after the initial reboot when I saw that you announced it had been fixed...but it wasn't translation files. However, since then...to test it...I have logged out and back in, ran updates, and it was perfect.

I've rebooted, ran updates, and it was perfect.

Everything is working great now! Thank you ma'am!

I must've just caught something at just the right time...or wrong time...after it was fixed.

I hate to sound like a Linux-newbie doobie doo, but on the system that I've changed over to "pkgmaster", I'm getting a bunch of "ignores" when I run updates. Is that normal?

Upgraded me lappie with the new source.list for ascii, all went well but on reboot LED backlight renderd everything barely discernible. Remedy was installing backlight and then adding to /etc/udev/rules.d/81-backlight-rules.

# Set backlight level to 8
SUBSYSTEM=="backlight", ACTION=="add", KERNEL=="acpi_video0", ATTR{brightness}="8"

Lappie is a Dell 5050N, with a later installed LED screen. This could possibly be only for Intel graphics.

Fixed the issue for me. Hope this helps if anyone encounters similar issues.

All the proposed- repos are optional. They contain packages that are working their way into the main repo.
Last night I tested pkgmaster by upgrading an ascii that hasn't been upgraded in over a month. I only used the first four of the following deb lines (the /merged lines), and I got some updates. Then I added the last two (the /devuan lines), updated and tried an upgrade, but there was nothing left to upgrade. But that may not always be the case.
