Warpinator on beomint/debbowulf

Has anyone who has a devuanified mint tried warpinator? Put it on three machines:

1. Network manager and systemd - can't find other computers
2. Network manager and sysv - can't find other computers
3. Ifupdown and sysv - can't find network on own computer

Any info appreciated

My curiosity got the best of me, tried this out and works fine. Installed on a Dell 5050N (ancient) laptop and my Android Galaxy A71. Both has to have Warpinator, and if using GUFW, the (in) has to be open, so I fiddled around and added Warpinator to the rules of GUFW. I was able to send files from laptop to Android and back.

I just used the Mint Warpinator deb pkg and installed fine!

Have 3 other PC to link, will play around and to help. cool

cheers

Ah, thanks, I will try installing GUFW. Were any of your machines using ifupdown?

Re: Warpinator on beomint/debbowulf

Got it working by disabling noroot firewall on phone and allowing all incoming via GUFW.
Initial thoughts:
1. I am too paranoid to change firewall settings that I do not completely understand.
2. Only 2.7MB per second? it is faster to use an old sd card for large file transfers, so will only use it for transferring Emma Radacanu wallpapers from phone to PC.
3. Warpinator has a low quality taskbar icon. To be changed.

My network is only 50mb/s over wireless???

Re: Warpinator on beomint/debbowulf

It got silly, I got excited. Have ordered a mini pcie-msata converter and a 3x5 128GB fast ssd, to put in the eee pc 904 disney special, and then fill her full of sweet music, over the airwaves, at 2.7MB/s, which is considerably faster than PCM.
Also hoping she will boot cinnamon in under one minute with a faster ssd.

Warpinator has a multi-state taskbar icon, fiddly to change, but I will.
