hello ,

on this SBC have forgot to buy an additonal item for storing time&date
so after each power off/out
the sbc looses time and fall back to around 2013

no on devuan 5 there is easy solution

sudo ntpdate-debian

2026-02-25 11:46:38.500126 (+0100) +413517305.022965 +/- 0.298050 0.debian.pool.ntp.org 69.89.207.199 s1 no-leap
CLOCK: time stepped by 413517305.022965
CLOCK: time changed from 2013-01-18 to 2026-02-25

and the time is set after reboot and normal function can be ensured.

however, for devuan 6 there is no longer such option_

there seem no package present "ntp" "ntpdate" or "ntpdate-debian"

how can the time best be set without resorting to manual insertion_

thanks.
