			<description><![CDATA[<p>I would check to see when it is better loaded and started.</p><p>with open-rc ...<br />rc-update gives a list of services and when it is launched.<br />I don&#039;t know about the other service starters like sysvinit... </p><p>maybe if you change it from sysinit to default it may start later, allowing the boot process to continue.<br />My only concern is that it may have dependants that start after it.</p><p>I don&#039;t think it matters, you&#039;ll just be a little late to the web on boot.</p><p>I start the web connection after The GUI starts and My phone is tethered to the pc.</p><p>so, I run them all late. </p><p>It might impact network-shared folders...</p>]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[isc-dhcp-client: timeout without running dhcp server]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>A quick boot-up was impossible - the default time-out is 60 seconds until <span class="bbc">isc-dhcp-client</span> skips waiting for an IP address. I would not mind if this happens in the background, but it is blocking the boot process.</p><p>The fix / config file is:</p><div class="codebox"><pre><code>cat /etc/dhcp/dhclient.conf | grep timeout
#timeout 60;
timeout 10;</code></pre></div><p>I know, it&#039;s not rocket science, but it took me ages to finally do it.</p>]]></description>
