			<description><![CDATA[<p>I just now looked at the repositories he had listed, and yeah no wonder(opensuse, brave, debian, etc) with all that and any xfce session/session manager updates going on.. lest frankenstein more like a twitchy, dissappearing boxes, desktop panel reloading on every boot.&#160; sources.list and understanding what revolves around it is important, I always keep as basic and simple as possible. I use xcfe properly on all my normal end use desktops.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>as head on a stick mentions getting rid of some of the foreign software might help.</p><p>a few suggestions in place of smplayer and etcher you could use the smplayer that is already in the stable repos and use gnome-multi-writer in place of etcher.</p><div class="codebox"><pre><code>sudo apt install gnome-multi-writer</code></pre></div><div class="codebox"><pre><code>sudo apt install smplayer</code></pre></div><p>not sure what you could use in place of teamviewer or signal, they seem to be personal choice or maybe needed for work.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>You have several foreign (non-Devuan) repositories active in your system so I would be blaming whichever software you installed from those. That Signal source looks particularly egregious because Xenial (Ubuntu) is not compatible with Devuan.</p><p>Try removing any and all non-Devuan software and see if that fixes things.</p><p>Note that Devuan has a beowulf-backports repository so you should use that rather than buster-backports (although the packages should be the same apart from the systemd backport).</p>]]></description>
