I have a Qualcomm Atheros AR93xx Wireless Network Adapter Not dependent on binary blobs, or proprietary drivers-firmware.

I installed Devuan without any non-free repos through the default installer (xfce desktop etc) and was able to hit speeds of around 400-500Mbps. I've since installed Devuan with a more minimal setup. Just the basic packages and then I installed everything I wanted bit by bit. now for some reason I can only hit  around 100-200Mbps. Is there something that I am missing? Any help would be appreciated.
