The mirrors could be slow at times for sure, at home i put in place an apt-cache NG because I install a lot. My apt-cache NG is a Debian install, but it does work for Devuan as well. The way I remember I never did any custom config on it as it always worked.

I saw your email and discussed it with the admins. They checked and auto.mirror is working.

The name auto.mirror. should still resolve or an alias put in to point to the new repository. The average schmuck will just give up and move on to something else.

Assuming the problem is at the source . . . you could switch to the newer repos at pkgmaster.devuan.org

auto.mirror.devuan.org does not resolve. The backup nameserver does resolve it but not the primary. This is a BIG problem as simple things like apt-get update will not run.

I fixed it by putting the IP address in my /etc/hosts file.
