If you're booting bios hardware, you'll get an isolinux boot menu, and you use TAB to edit the command. If you're booting uefi, you'll get a grub menu, and you press e to edit the menu and add the option to the line that starts with 'linux'.

Hello everybody I`m a new user in the Devuan forum!

My issue is with HP computer. It is compaq 6715s laptop. I was trying to install Devuan on my laptop. It begings all good, but it always is interrupted by a black screen and I can`t go on. I had the same problem with other distros too. The workaround was to add a boot option "noapic" in the beginning of the installation.

So my question is how can I add a boot option on installation before the kernel boots.

This laptop is known for it`s "bad" behauvoir. But is there any change to get Devuan into this laptop. At this point I am using UbuntuMate 16.04.3 LTS in this laptop.
